Recommended Rear Timbren Spring Clearance On A Lifted 2014 Chevrolet Silverado

Question:

I put timbrens on the rear of my 2014 chevy half ton. The truck has a one inch lift in the rear. Should I add one inch spacers to the timbrens? I have about one and a half inch gap between the timbrens and the truck axel now. Thanks

Per the manufacturer's recommendations, there should be approximately 1"-1.5" of clearance between the rear contact point and the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement part # TGMRCK15S when not under load. Too little space will cause the spring to constantly ride on the axle/bracket resulting in a bouncy uncomfortable ride where as, a spring to far from the contact point will not allow for the full capabilities of the spring to be exerted.

Since you currently have 1"-1.5" of clearance, I would not add a 1" spacer to the rear of your Timbrens. Doing so will not allow enough space between the spring and rear contact point of your vehicle.

I have attached a photo of the Timbren Springs installed on a 2013 Chevrolet 1500 for reference.
