Best Way to Carry 2 Bikes on a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica

Question:

I am looking for a bike rack to fit my 2017 Chrysler Pacifica. Currently, I only have 1 bike to haul, but it will eventually be 2. Both will be adult mountain bikes. I am having a hard time deciding what type of rack would be best... roof, hitch, or trunk? Could you please tell me what would work best for my make and model of vehicle. I want to be able to access my back hatch with no problems.

A great bike rack to carry two bikes on the Chrysler is a hitch mount rack like the Thule Camber # TH9058. Hitch mount bike racks are much more stable and secure than a trunk mount and not as difficult to use as a roof mount. A trunk mount will have to be removed whenever you want to access the back of the Pacifica, and it can be pretty challenging to get bikes on and off the roof.

The hitch for you is the etrailer # e98903. It's a Class III, 2 inch receiver designed for your 2017 Chrysler Pacifica. I've linked an install video for you.

If either of your bikes are a women's or children's bike, or any bike that doesn't have the horizontal top cross tube like a typical men's bike does, you may also need a bike frame adapter bar. The Kuat Ubar # UB01 will create that horizontal cross tube and keep the bikes level during transport.
