Installing Curt Class III Trailer Hitch # 13333 on 2008 Dodge Ram Pickup

Question:

On the similar hitches Draw Tite 75662 and Hidden 87530 the bolt that goes through the bumper has a nut at the bottom. The Curt 13333 just shows a hex head bolt. What does it screw into?

Helpful Expert Reply:

The socket cap screw that is included with the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # 13333 referenced in your question will go down through the bumper and thread directly into the hitch. You will simply tighten this screw into the hitch and torque to the specifications listed in the instruction manual. A nut is not needed for this screw.

This Class III trailer hitch is confirmed to fit the 2008 Dodge Ram Pickup 1500, 2500 and 3500 without factory hitch. It has a 2 inch receiver opening with a 600 pound tongue weight and 6,000 pound towing weight capacity.

I have attached an installation video on a 2013 Dodge Ram for you to check out.
