Adding a 4- and 7-Way Trailer Connector to a 1997 GMC 2500 Series Pickup Truck
Question:
will this fit my 97 gmc sierra 2500? if not which one will? I need both 7 and 4 plugs thanks

If your 1997 GMC Sierra 2500 has a plug with a round cap up above the spare tire or in that general area then it is likely that 4- and 7-Way connector # 74682 will fit. Otherwise in order to install a 4- and 7-Way you will need # ETBC7.
The truck would need to have a 4-Way flat connector to plug into the ETBC7. If it doesn't then the first step is to install a 4-Way on the truck, # 118315, and then install the ETBC7. I have included some links that show and explain the ETBC7 installation for you.
