This fully welded trailer hitch receiver bolts onto your vehicle's frame with no welding required. Powder coated steel is sturdy and corrosion resistant.The front facing bolt hole on the passenger side took some convincing to line up. Also, there was no packing material for the hitch itself so the sharp edges tore up the box during transport. I am disappointed that the hitch is resting on the tailpipe pushing it up and offers no clearance. I will have to go to a exhaust shop to try to heat the tailpipe to bend it down or cut off the tailpipe and have it welded at at different angle.
However, I do like how this hitch bolts onto the three frame rail holes and think the design is better than the other competitors. The offerings from Hidden Hitch and Drawtite use L-shaped metal brackets that bolt to the bumper bracket (see picture) and only use one frame rail hole, which I don't feel is as strong. The Curt hitch is the only one that offers a specific part number for crew cabs. The Drawtite and Hidden Hitch list the same part numbers for crew cabs, regular cabs, and king cabs.
Easy to install, built with heavy duty material. Took 10 minutes to install.

Our Nissan got hit in the back and the trailer hitch was bent. The rear bumper wasn't damaged at all. I have included pictures of the previously purchased (etrailer) bent trailer hitch and the trailer light wiring install too.
Sales rep. was very helpful and knowledgeable about the equipment. Shipping came very quickly. Haven't installed the hitch yet but I am very satisfied with the rep and the purchase so far!
Bolted right up to my 2000 Frontier 4-door Crew Cab. No issues whatsoever. Mounting hardware was clean and sturdy. Good quality bolts and hitch. It took me 15 minutes to do it by myself in a parking lot at my apartment. 2 people would have been easier but not necessary if you're handy.

After a year, this hitch has been used many times for a large steel bike rack 4 mountain bikes at a time, towing cars, off-road recovery, etc. I havent been nice to it but I also had any issues with it. I have dragged it over rocks and backed it into a couple concrete walls as well. I trust it completely.
The hitch is fine. I had a problem where one of the mounting plates had an imperfection in the threads where metal was melted and therefore rendered it impossible for me to thread the bolt through. They sent me a new mounting plate and a new bolt and it arrived quickly, just wish I didn’t have to get underneath my truck on two separate occasions. They sent me a new plate and this one in-fact had some metal melted into the thread… but… it was smaller and I was able to scrape it out. So they could improve their QC! Otherwise the hitch is fine. I’ll change review to 5 star if they promise to do better QC for future customers!!

I made the manufacturer aware of this issue and they will check their inventory.
Installed easily on an old Nissan Frontier. Has pulled both boats and stumps!
Wish it had a light plug mount point, but no complaints.

Hitch has survived another year of neglect and frozensalty Michigan winters. Theres some of rust, but Ive owned hitches for 50 years and none have escaped that. Holding up as good or better than most. Its on a 2000 Frontier crew cab and at this point its likely stronger than the frame its bolted to. lol
This fits great! It only takes about 15 minutes to install. I bought it to use a dirtbike carrier from the hitch. It holds it easily!

Great value! No issues!
Quick delivery. Good quality product. Perfect fit when I ordered the correct one. I went from an 8' long bed, full sized pickup to a 5.xx long bed Frontier. I had bought the truck used and thought it was a short bed. (I mean it was almost 3' shorter than my full size long bed) I ordered the short bed hitch, which was not a perfect fit because it was not for my truck. Once we figured out my mistake, etrailer worked with me to return the incorrect hitch for the correct one. As I said. Perfect fit. Only issue I had was that the tailpipe was rubbing/clanking on the new hitch. I talked to erailer about it and they sent me info on why this was, and how to fix it. All I had to do was to flip the tailpipe hanger upside down, as the mounting bolts on it are offset. 2 easy to access bolts, and it took maybe 5 minutes to remedy that. Thank you etrailer for your great customer service! Highly recommend.
This is the second hitch and wiring package I have purchased from etrailer.com. Shipping was very quick and item arrived undamaged. This hitch was easy, quick to install and included new frame bolts. Total install time was seventeen minutes. Very happy with these hitches. Recommended to all my friends needed a hitch. A+ customer service.
I made a wooden jig to hold up hitch and rasied with a floor jack....worked great tail pipe was in the way, i cut just after the curve and shorten it 2 " than revered it and fasten it with muffler clap

Thanks for the follow up John. I did want to let you know that I checked with Curt and they do not have any notes of any interference with the exhaust or tailpipe of your Frontier. I am glad that you were able to make it work, but also wanted to let you know that sometimes if there is an issue with exhaust clearance the exhaust hangers can usually be slightly bent to allow the hitch to be installed. I read other reviews that had the same problem with the exhaust ...thats how I took care it

The quality is great! The install was a little tricky because my muffler on my 02 Frontier got in the way. Luckily, I had a mechanic friend who got creative to help me install the hitch and also find a solution to not have the muffler touch the hitch.
Hitch looks great and was very simple to install. I didn't have any problems, and for someone that is not very mechanically inclined, such as myself, it only took a few minutes to get it installed. Great product, I would definitely not hesitate to do business with etrailer again, and will do so in the future.
ordered a hitch for my 2004 Nissan Frontier recieved in one week (Calif.) everthing fit perfect did it by myself took about 1 hour the wireing kit was perfect the whole process was a "piece of cake"

Great fit used ATV jack to set it in place only issue was exhaust pipe had to be relocated. The wiring harness plugged up and worked perfectly. Total installation time was 30 minutes.
