Trailer Wiring Solution for Wiring Up Trailer that Has 8 Wires
Question:
I have 9 wires coming out of my trailer, and only 4from my truck ! after hooking up the w,b,y,g, wires I have 5 wires remaining from my trailer red, blue,gray, black, orange,.,what, and how do I hook them up ,,,??please help,, thanks a million?,

For that many wires on your trailer you are going to need to use a 7-way connector like the # H20046 and then on your tow vehicle you would need the socket # HM48480.
Since it's hard to know what wires will go where based on just color alone what you will want to do is use the two pictures I attached that have 7-way diagrams attached as a guide to wiring up everything.
You will have to determine the functions of each of the circuits. On the vehicle side it sounds like everything is pretty standard. White is ground, brown is running light, yellow is left turn/stop, green is right turn/stop.
To determine the functions of the extra wires on your trailer you will have to run a jumper wire from the positive post of the battery to each function to see what illuminates.
