The Fold-Down Gooseneck Trailer Hitch with Installation Kit, # 8339-4438, comes with the hitch, the installation kit, and the hardware needed to install it in the following trucks.

2003 - 2005 Dodge Ram Pickup 6 Foot Bed, 1500 Series
2006 - 2008 Dodge Ram Pickup 6 Foot Bed, 1500 Series, except Mega Cab
2003 - 2008 Dodge Ram Pickup 8 Foot Bed, 1500 Series

I have included a link to the installation details for you to review. Basically, you would install the rails first. The rails in this kit are # 4438. You would then install the hitch, # 8339. To make it easier, you can add Fold Down Gooseneck Hitch Installation Template, # 6425. The instructions will provide step by step details for both parts in this kit.

Gooseneck trailer hitch installation kit #4457 is designed for certain 2010 and newer Ram 2500 and 3500 series trucks. It is not a fit for your 2003. The installation kit by itself for your 2003 Ram 1500 is #4438. But these are just the…

That looks like a Draw Tite Hide a Goose Center section like part #9464 which means all you'd need to install it is the correct rail kit part #4438 for your 2003 Dodge Ram and you'd be set.
