Adjusting Your Trailer So That the Pin Box Sits More Level on a Jayco Eagle 5th Wheel Trailer

Question:

I have a pin box model LIPP 1621 and when towing the trailer it is to high at the hitch as the trailer tilts back, how do I lower it so the trailer tows level. Its a Pullrite super glide so that cannot be lowered. (Jayco Eagle 24.5) and a Lipp 1621 pin box attached to a Pullrite sliding hitch (not adjustable ) on a 2017 F250 superduty FX4 WHICH IS A LITTLE HIGHER THAN A REGULAR f250. I MOVED THE PIN BOX 1 BOLT HOLE AND LOOKS LIKE I MAY HAVE TO GO ONE MORE.,,Which will be the last ,,unless more holes can be drilled, you would have thought the dealer would have seen the height difference but didn't ,oh well what ever I do will have to be safe, thanks

If you can safely adjust the height of your Lippert 1621 pin box then that would be the ideal thing to do.

I do have a few more options to help level out your Jayco Eagle with your 2017 Ford F-250 Super Duty.

If your Jayco Eagle uses leaf springs, Dexter has 2 different over-under conversion kits which will move the axle from over your leaf springs to under your leaf springs. The Conversion Kit # K71-384-00 fits a 2-3/8 inch axle while the Conversion Kit # K71-385-00 fits 3 inch axles. These will give your trailer extra height which is equal to that of your axle and the spacer that is already used.

The only other option that you have is to get bigger hangers. For example, if your current spacer is only 2 inches tall and you add the Front Hanger for 2 inch Wide Slipper Springs # 28-9-1, which are 5 inches tall, you will be gaining 3 inches of extra height.

I have included links to some demonstration videos for you to view as well.
