Trailer Hitch Interference with Backup Sensors on 2012 Honda Odyssey Touring

Question:

I am interested in installing this hitch on my 2012 Honda Odyssey Touring. I wanted to know the following: Hitch Item # 76025 Harness Item #118521 1. With the hitch installed insideinch the bumper space, it will be right next to the backup sensors. Will there be an interference with the sensor causing it to activate continuously. 2. The videos do not show disconnection of backup sensor wiring. Is that a complicated task or is the harness disconnect inside the bumper too? 3. On the wiring harness, it appears that the connector goes where the backup sensors are already connected in the fuse box. Is the T-One in line connector where I need to plug in the backup sensors so both works when utilizing the harness? Thanks for the help.

Draw-Tite 2-inch hitch # 76025 is a confirmed fit on your 2012 Honda Odyssey. This and the other 2-inch hitch options for the car are shown on the linked page. The hitch I suggest over the one you referenced is the Draw-Tite # 75270. This offers a lower price, higher weight capacity and a substantially easier installation. It's cross tube will be visible under the rear bumper, but if that cosmetic difference is not critical, go for the # 75270 for the easier install. A video is linked for you.
The hitch # 76025 offers a more discrete appearance but at the cost of a much more involved installation.

The T-One wiring harness # 118521 will install as shown in the linked video but this has no interaction with the backup warning system. In reality, it is not the hitch that will potentially trigger the signals, it is the presence of either a hitch-mounted bike rack and bikes, or a loaded hitch cargo carrier, or even a trailer that is towed.
