Roof Mounted Track System on 2008 Honda Element

Could the Thule Roof Mounted Top Rack System or some other track system be mounted on the roof of a 2008 Honda Element by use of the mounting points on the vehicle roof .. i.e., without drilling any new holes. Id like to have adjustable cross bars with a spread of more than the fixed 30.

The Thule Track System # THTP54 is only installed by drilling into the vehicle's roof. It would give you the adjustable roof rack you're looking for though.

You're also correct that any roof rack designed for your 2008 Honda Element that uses the fixed mounting points will have a crossbar spread of either 29-1/2 or 30 inches.
