What Happens if You Install Trailer Brake Assembly Upside Down
Question:
I installed a set of electric drum brakes, but I put the magnet on the right side with the label at the bottom. Will that make any difference? Thanks,

Your trailer brakes will still work with the assemblies mounted upside down where the magnet is above the spindle, but from the customers we know who have done this we have found that the stopping power won't be as strong as if they were mounted the right way.
I would recommend you orientate them correctly so that you have the safest braking on your trailer.
A 5 bolt assembly shouldn't be able to bolt up correctly upside down. You might just verify that the magnet is below the spindle as that is the most reliable way to know they are installed properly.
