Minimum Air Pressure Requirement for Firestone Air Bags in Truck
Question:
I have a 2010 Chevy Silverado 2500 crew cab 4X4 with a flat bed. When I bought this pickup, the was no manual for the ride rite. How much air should I keep in this system on a regular basis and how much should I air them up when pulling a trailer?

Expert Reply:
When not needed the minimum air pressure you need to keep in Ride Rite air bags is 5 psi to prevent them from damaging themselves. When you are towing you basically want to inflate the bags till the suspension on your vehicle sits level again. Whatever psi accomplishes that would be the correct amount.
