How Much Air Pressure Should be Run in Firestone Ride Rite Kits
Question:
I need to know how much air goes in Firestone Ride Rite shock on RV that is a Ford 450 chaste C class

Expert Reply:
With Firestone Ride Rite kits like the part # F2071 the absolute minimum psi you will need to run is 5 psi. This prevents the bags from getting damaged.
Typically people run the amount of pressure that allows the vehicle to sit as level as possible when loaded. Going with more pressure will cause the ride quality to be harsh and bouncy. Too little and the suspension may still sag. Trial and error is the best way to find the perfect amount.

I have a 2023 Forrest River 32 ft. Motorhome on a 450F. I have the Firestone Ride Rite bags in the rear, I have them set at 6 PSI without towing anything, My Question is how do i Know how much air i should apply when i am towing anything. Also, without towing anything can i run more air in the bags, so the rear does not Scrap/hit the road when going into a little dip on a driveway or turn???
