Will Curt Hitch 15409 Fit 2003 Dodge Ram 2500 without Factory Hitch

I have a friend that has the curt 15409 hitch for sale. I was going to buy it, but didnt know if it would fit. I have a 2003 Dodge Ram 2500 short bed. It has no factory hitch. I have a flatbed on it. Will this hitch still mount to the frame without the factory hitch and hitch cross member? Thanks

The Curt hitch part # C15409 is a fit for your 2003 Dodge Ram 2500 Short bed without a factory hitch. But you need to find out if your truck was originally a cab and chassis truck that never had a standard bed on it or if it did have a standard bed on it at one point.

The cab and chassis truck frames are 34 inches measured from outside to outside that's an easy way to tell. If frame is wider than that the Curt hitch mentioned will attach to the frame. Whether or not it would clear the flat bed setup will depend on the flat bed setup.
