Will Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement Improve Bucking on Ford F-150 with 5th Wheel Trailer

Question:

We have a 2016 F150 Crew Cab Short bed. I tow a 28 foot 5th wheel with the BandW Turnover Ball hitch with an 8inch Ranch Hitch offset adapter on the 5th wheel. We get a lot of feedback or bucking from the road and braking. I was wondering if the Timbren Vehicle Suspension would help with that feedback or any other suggestions you may have? Thanks.

A lot of the bucking and feedback issues you are having when towing your 5th Wheel with your 2016 F-150 may be happening as a result of the 8 inch Ranch Hitch Offset # AM3139 you referenced in your question. The offset you are using pushes the tongue weight of your setup further back, which can result in a lot of the movement you are experiencing.

Other than switching to an actual 5th Wheel Hitch, such as the B&W Companion w/ Slider, part # BWRVK3400-5W, which is an adapter hitch that will mount to your existing B&W Turnover Ball to connect with a 5th Wheel, suspension enhancement will be the best option for improving the movement with your current setup.

Installing the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System # TFR1504E for your 2016 Ford F-150 will help a lot with the up and down bucking that you are experiencing while pulling your 28 foot 5th Wheel Trailer. The Timbren system will improve the handling and safety of your tow vehicle, and can help reduce body roll when swerving and turning corners as well.

I also recommend checking the owner's manual on your F-150 to confirm that the weight of your loaded 5th Wheel Trailer is falling within its maximum towing and tongue capacities, as overloading your vehicle can also cause some of the problems you are having.

I have included a video review of this product for you to check out.
