Will Lippert # LC281255 Shock Kit Fit on an I-Beam Frame

Question:

My RVs i-beam has about an 1 1/4inch lip on it. Will the shock absorber have enough clearance after installing the upper bracket to the I-beam so it will not rub?

I spoke with my contact at Lippert about the # LC281255 Shock Kit. He confirmed that it will help dampen road shock for your trailer, as long as you have the necessary clearance and I-beam frame to install the kit. The Lippert Bolt-On Shock Mount Kit # LC281255 that you referenced is designed to fit 2-3/8 inch axle tubes. The kit needs 4-1/2 inches of clearance between the I-beam flange and inside of tire. An I-beam frame is needed to install the upper mounting bracket.

Because of that your I-beam frame would not cause a clearance issue.
