What Size Wire Should be Used for Wiring the Blue and Black Brake Controller Wires

Hello, I am wiring a 30ft chevy motorhome for a brake controller that will operate a 2 axle trailer brakes on 4 wheels. I need to know what guage wires are needed for the blue wiring coming from the controller and for the positive battery wire. Both will be about 32ft long. Thanks Ron

We actually sell a duplex cable that would be perfect for this application. Take a look at Jacketed 2 Wire, 10 Gauge, Brake Wire, # 10-2-1. This is a jacketed wire with 2 wires inside, both are 10 gauge wires. It is sold in 1 foot increments so if you needed 32 feet, enter 32 as the quantity. We actually use this wire in our 7 and 4-Way Installation Kit, # ETBC7, which is for hardwiring brake controllers.
You also may need either a 20 amp circuit breaker, # PK54520, or a 30 amp circuit breaker, # 38630, for the brake controller power wire. Check the brake controller installation instructions for which size to use.
