Which Equalizer Weight Distribution System is Recommended for 1,200 lbs Tongue Weight
Question:
I have a 2016 GMC Sierra 2500 6.0 gasser. I am looking at buying a camper with advertised dry tongue weight of 960 lbs. The gross weight for the trailer is 10300lbs dry 8350lbs so I assume my actual tongue weight will be 1200 lbs or so. I am wondering if this hitch is ok for my set up. I am really only worried about sway and not so much weight distribution as I am no where near the payload max of my truck 2890 lbs. Is this a good option or should I be looking at something different.

For a loaded tongue weight of 1,200 lbs the Equalizer Kit part # EQ37140ET would be great as it's tongue weight range would work well with your trailer. It's tongue weight range is 1,000 to 1,400 and yours would fall right in the middle which is ideal.
