Will the Yakima SkyBox 21 Rooftop Cargo Box Fit on a 2017 Ford Escape

Will this box fit on a Ford Escape, i need storage to carry 4- 10 fishing rods over long distance, each rod is from 7 ft to as long as 7ft 6in

The Yakima SkyBox 21 # Y07337 is confirmed to fit the factory roof rack on your 2017 Ford Escape. To ensure that the roof box does not interfere with being able to fully open the rear hatch, you will want find the rear hatch clearance. You can find this out by first adjusting your front crossbar as far forward as possible and then measuring from the center of the front crossbar to the line where your roof and rear hatch meet. If that measurement is at least 57 inches then this cargo box will fit on your 2017 Ford Escape.
The max ski/snowboard length for the SkyBox 21 # Y07337 is 84-1/2 inches. Since a 7 foot fishing pole is 84 inches, you will only be able to fit your 7 foot fishing poles in this Cargo Box.
We do offer a cargo box that will hold your 7-1/2 feet fishing poles and will fit on your Escape's factory roof rack. The Thule Sonic XXL # TH636B will comfortably hold 7-1/2 foot poles. Keep in mind that you will need to measure your hatch clearance for this cargo box as well. The XXL needs 54-3/4 inches from the front of the crossbar to where the line where the roof and the hatch meet, to ensure that you can use your Escape's hatch with the cargo box.
If you don't have factory side rails installed on your Ford's roof, I recommend using the Rhino Roof Rack System with the Aero Crossbars # RR49QR.
If you do have the factory side rails installed but no crossbars, then I recommend using the Rhino Roof Rack Aero Crossbars # RRVA126B-2, and the Leg Kit # RRSX100. This system comes with plastic locks, but they can be upgraded to all-metal locks by using part # RRVA-LEC4.
