Question:

What is the difference of 3500 lb axles or BT8, BTR and 84 Spindle. Thank you.

As long as the drums have the same weight capacity as the axles that you are putting them on then there should be no problems there. If you don't already have the 5 on 5 drums that you are asking about, I recommend using the E-Z Lube Hub and Drum Assembly # 84556UC3-EZ. It has the E-Z lube cap on the end of the drum so if you have E-Z-lube axles it makes greasing your axles easier. It also works great with axles that do not have the E-Z lube option.

Since you are taking the 5 on 4-1/2 drums off of an axle that has a weight capacity of 3,500 lbs and you're moving them to an axle that has a 3,500 lbs weight capacity as well, there won't be any issues with that. If you think that you might need some new bearings on your 5 on 4-1/2 drums you can check out part # BK2-100.

If you would like to install brakes on your axle I recommend the Electric Trailer Brake Assembly both the Right Hand # AKEBRK-35R-SA and the Left Hand # AKEBRK-35L-SA.

I have included some demonstration videos for you as well.

These are common names for different standard spindles. For your 3,500 lb axles you will want to use the 84 Spindles like part # TRU74FR and they use the Bearing Kit # BK2-100. For future reference, the BT8 and the BTR are both spindles that are rated for 2,000 lb axles. The BT8 is part # TRU94FR and uses the Bearing Kit # BK1-100. The BTR is part # TRU44FR and uses Bearing Kit # BK1-150.
