How to Identify Replacement Grease Caps & Bearings for Tandem Axle Forest River Wildcat

Question:

I have a 2016 Forest River Wildcat 28 SGX with Dexter axles. The tandem axle is a drum brake, 15 inch with 6 lugs. I believe the trailer weighs around 11K. I need to find the dust cap and a complete bearing set for 1 axle any idea what the part #s might be and do you carry them? Thanks.

Trailer makers usually don't maintain detailed specs on small component parts, like dust caps and bearings, that are used in fabrication of their trailers but we do carry a wide range of both items and we can help you select the correct replacements.

It is recommended to service both axles at the same time, but if only one needs a new dust cap and bearings you will find those items on the two linked pages.

Dust/grease caps in many sizes are displayed on the linked grease cap page. You'll need to measure the bore of your hub to know the correct diameter grease cap to use. You'll need a precision caliper that will let you measure your hub bore to the nearest thousandth, e.g. 1.234-inches. Please refer to the linked photo that shows where to measure your hub's bore. Then just select the appropriate size cap by clicking on the filters on the page.

For bearings the best way to find replacement parts is to use the existing item's part number. The linked photo shows the usual placement of bearing numbers. You can then search on that part number directly. Our main page for trailer bearings will let you select the correct bearings for your axle's rated capacity.
