Making a Type of Ladder Rack for a 2017 Honda Ridgeline
Question:
Might this rack be compatible with my 2017 Honda Ridgeline? On the Ridgeline there is not a conventional lip along the top of the bed to secure the base of a ladder rack. Looking for suggestions to a ladder rack system that might work.

I do have a solution for you but there are no ladder racks confirmed to fit the 2017 Honda Ridgeline. What you can do is use a specific Rhino-Rack set up to create the next-best thing to a ladder rack. For this you would need to have a 2 inch trailer hitch, which should be on the vehicle already, and the following parts:
Bar # RRVA150B
Legs # RRRLKVAH
Clamp Fit # DK470
Yakima LongArm # Y01149-1150
The fit kit will allow you to place the crossbar on the roof in either the front bar position or rear bar position. The above parts are if the vehicle does not have side rails on the roof that run front to back. If the vehicle does have raised rails that run front to back then you can use the Malone AirFlow2 Roof Rack # MPG216 for an easy fit that is rated for 165 lbs.
