Automatic Slider Fifth Wheel Hitch Rail Kit Recommendation for 2017 Ford F-250 with 6-3/4 ft Bed
Question:
I thought a 6foot bed or larger wold avoid the slider issue. My truck has a 6 3/4foot bed. It now appears that a slider is needed. Is that right? Are there autoinch slider units that avoid the need to get out and adjust the handle. I am a first time owner and about to buy a trailer to go with my truck.

Typically any truck bed that is shorter than 8 feet in length is going to require the use a slider. We do offer the Demco Hijacker fifth wheel hitches that slide automatically as you make a sharp turn to give you the needed clearance.
For your 2017 Ford F-250 you would want the Hijacker part # DM8550034 which fits the rail kit part # DM8552031-71 that is confirmed as a fit for your truck. If you happen to already have a set of fifth wheel rails in your truck the hitch I mentioned would fit that as well.
