Compatibility of Anti-Rattle Device with Bike Rack Secured by a Hitch Ball

Question:

Hi! Im looking to buy a hitch from you, I have a 2016 Honda Fit and I liked the Curt C11406 hitch. I also need a ball, because I have a Thule 932 ball bike rack, but I was wondering if I can install this ball #C45591 with a Thule THSTL2 anti rattle device? I dont know if its possible to thread the bolt from the anti rattle device onto the hitch and the ball... Thanks for your help!

Curt Class I trailer hitch # C11406 is confirmed to fit properly on your 2016 Honda Fit. However, the hitch I recommend instead is the Draw-Tite # 24920. This hitch installs identically and has the very same capacity, but it costs less and does not have the requirement of using the support strap # 18050 which Curt specifies for maintaining the warranty on your hitch when it is used with a non-trailer load like a bike rack.

My contact at Thule confirmed that they used to offer a hitch-ball-mount bike rack, their Express Module, but that this has been discontinued for better than a decade. Its old enough that they don't have much information on it at this point.

A rack that uses a hitch ball and ball mount as its method of installation cannot be used with an anti-rattle device like # THSTL2 on the rack, but we do have a compatible anti-rattle device # GY88XR that will secure the ball mount in the hitch.
