Can MagnaFlow Catalytic Converter Be Installed Either Direction

With this unit 99205hm catyletic converter with heat shield up does it matter which is in or out to muffler ?

Yes, the MagnaFlow Heavy Metal Loaded, Stainless Steel Catalytic Converter # MF99205HM can be installed in either direction. However, it's recommended that the larger converter be used first and therefore it's better to install it with the part number that is visible on the part facing towards the front of the vehicle.

If a catalytic converter can only be installed one way there will be markings on it to indicate so. I've attached a help article on catalytic converters you may find useful as well.

With Magnaflow universal catalytic converters like the #MF91005 they can flow in either direction. If the exhaust had to flow one direction it would be marked on the outside of it.
