I would recommend the Roadmaster XL Base Plate Kit, item # 3113-1, for your 2003 Pontiac Vibe front wheel drive with manual transmission. Front wheel drive automatic transmission Vibes must be towed on a tow dolly and all wheel drive vibes must be towed on a trailer.

Along with the base plate kit I would recommend a towbar that installs in the receiver on your motorhome. The RoadMaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar - 6,000 lbs, item # RM-520 would be a good choice and along with this you will need Wiring and safety cables.

We have the RoadMaster Combo Towing Kit with Coiled Safety Cables and Wire, item # RM-9243-1, that is designed to work with the Falcon 2 tow bar and includes the wiring, diodes, safety chains and other items needed to complete your towing setup.

You might also want to consider a braking system for the Pontiac Vibe. A braking system will allow your motorhome to stop in much shorter distance when dinghy towing and they are required in most states. I recommend the Roadmaster Even Brake, # RM-9400, for your Vibe. This system is proportional, easy to install and use and can be easily transferred to another dinghy when the time comes.

Finally, depending on the difference in height between the base plate connections on your Vibe and the receiver on your motorhome you might need to purchase a Hi-Lo adapter. To properly tow the Vibe you need to have the tow bar as level as possible to avoid damage to the dinghy front end. Within 2 inches of level is very good. I have added links to the Hi-Lo adapters we carry for you to select from.

I also included links to some articles on dinghy towing that you may find helpful. In particular I recommend that you look over the wiring articles before wiring your Vibe.
