Trailer Wiring Harness for 2016 Buick Enclave
Question:
Recently purchased a 2016 Buick Enclave, however, not with the factory tow package. I am getting ready to purchase a tow hitch, but the only wiring kits that come up for my vehicle say for vehicles with factory tow package. What wiring kit do I need to purchase and I assume it will be one that will have a converter so that the vehicle battery does not get drained, etc. Thanks

Even if your 2016 Buick Enclave does not have the factory tow package it may still have the connector that mates with the one shown in the linked photo, which is on part # 118270. This kit includes the fuses and relays required to activate the tow wiring even if your vehicle was not equipped with the tow package.
Another option is to use the ZCI Zero-Contact harness kit # 119250KIT. This unique product installs without having to cut or splice any of the car's wiring. It uses ferrite sensors that detect signals in the car's wiring and this avoids the need to splice. This kit is a powered harness that uses a 12V power wire that connects to the car's battery. An article on routing this wire is linked, as is an install video.
