T-One Connection Location Points Behind Tail Lights

Once installation is complete, the 4-way connector will be stowed beneath your vehicle, near the trailer hitch. A mounting bracket (sold separately) is recommended to keep the connector secure.

It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.

2006 Chrysler Town and Country

Made trailer light wiring hookup much simpler. A little tricky threading wiring connectors through Chrysler Town and Country sidewalls to taillight, but can be done with patience. Passenger side wire was too short to reach from taillight to trailer hitch plug with stow-n-go seats so had to splice in an extension; would be nice if the manufacturer provided an additional foot of wire.

The instructions were easy to follow and I was able to test my trailer lights in a couple of hours if not less. I went to Dodge to see if they had a kit for my Caravan first but what they gave me was totally wrong, you guys definitely delivered the right product.

by:

The instructions called for running the wiring outside the vehicle, or at least that's what I thought it called for. They were a little vague. However, I followed the instructional video on the website and ran the wires inside the vehicle. It required me to add about 5' to the green wire, which I did with crimp connectors. My wife is happy there are no exposed wires inside or outside the vehicle when we're not towing (which is most of the time for us).

Works as it should but the wires could have been at least one foot longer. Plugged it in routed the wires and tested with my trailer in twenty minutes.

by:

the harness works and is compatible with my '05 Chrysler Town And Country Van

by:
2006 Chrysler Town and Country

easy install but I found the harness to be about 2 feet to short to run under my van to hitch but long enough if tucked in third row seat compartment and just let it hang out of rear door when in use

The harness came exactly as ordered and delivery was fast. The enclosed institutions were very clear and easy to understand. In fact so easy that I believe a very young child could follow them. Great product.

  • Can Trailer Wiring for a 2006 Chrysler Town and Country be Routed Outside of the Van
Actually, that is a typical installation for the wiring harnesses for a 2006 Chrysler T and C. Take a look at the video I have linked as reference. The weather stripping on the rear of the vehicle between the hatch and bumper protects the wiring from damage as long as it is not in the latching mechanism. It is possible to route the wiring under the vehicle but you will most likely have to drill a hole. First you will need to remove the floor panels in the cargo area until you get to the...

  • 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver for 2006 Chrysler Town and Country with Stow N Go Seats
Yes, The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # 13389 will fit your 2006 Chrysler Town and Country LX with the stow n go seating. There is no drilling required for the installation of this hitch on your Chrysler. You will also want the Hopkins Plug-In Simple Vehicle Wiring Harness # 42235 for connecting your trailer lights, if you plan on doing any towing. This can also come in handy if you are using a bike rack or similar carrier that may block the taillights on your Chrysler.

  • Where to Route the 4-way on a 2005 Chrysler Town and Country to Install an ETBC7 Kit
Since you plan on installing an Brake Controller Installation Kit # ETBC7 in your 2005 Chrysler Town and Country you will need to find a way to route the 4-way of the Plug-N-Tow Wiring Harness # 42235 out to the underside of the vehicle. So that it can be plugged into the 7-way permanently. You would not want the 4-way routed through the back door all the time. To find a way to get the 4-way out to the outside of the vehicle I would recommend you pull up the carpet or paneling in the rear...

  • Everything Works on the Trailer Except for the Running Lights
If the only thing not working is your running lights you are almost there. The running lights are powered through the brown wire on the 4 pole connector. Use a circuit tester and make sure that the prong adjacent to the brown wire, on the 4-way, has power when the running lights are on. If you do not have power there, then your problem is between the taillights and the 4 pole connector, as long as your taillights on the vehicle are working. If the power is reaching the 4 pole connector...

  • Turn Signal Fuse Blows on 2007 Chrysler Town and Country with Trailer Wiring Harness Installed
If the signal fuse is blowing on the 2007 Chrysler Town and Country then that could indicate a short circuit on the trailer. You will want to disconnect the trailer and inspect the trailer wiring starting with the trailer connector. Clean off any dirt and corrosion. Then make sure the main trailer connector ground is attached to a clean and corrosion free bare metal surface. Then trace the wiring back to the tail lights. Look for any frayed or exposed wires that could be touching the metal...

  • Trailer Wiring Harness for 2006 Chrysler Town and Country with Stow-and-Go Seats
Either the Hopkins Plug-N-Tow wiring harness, part # 42235 or the Tow Ready Wiring Harness, part # 118300 would work great with your 2006 Chrysler Town and Country with the stow-and-go seats. Both wiring harnesses attach inline with the existing harness behind the tail light assemblies. I will link you to the installation instructions. You can find the link below.

  • Difference Between T-one and Plug-N-Tow Trailer Wiring Connectors for a 2006 Town and Country Van
The biggest difference between the Plug-N-Tow (TM) Vehicle Wiring Harness, item # 42235, and the Tow Ready Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring, item # 118300, is the manufacturer. The Plug-N-Tow harness is made by Hopkins and the T-One wiring harness is made by Tow Ready. Both of the Harnesses provide 4-Way, vehicle end, trailer wiring connector at the rear of the vehicle and plug inline with the vehicles tail light wiring. While the shape of the connectors may be slightly different they both are...
