Trailer Hitch Recommendation for 2014 Subaru Outback Wagon for 2 inch Hitch Thule Bike Rack
Question:
My wife and I have a 2014 Subaru Outback and were considering either a Draw-Tite Class III Hitch Part # 75673 or a 2inch Torklift EcoHitch. We will use the hitch primarily for our Thule T2 Pro 2 Bike Platform Rack which we currently use on my SUV only. Questions: 1 Do either of these hitches require use of auxiliary stabilizing straps to support non-trailer loads bike racks, cargo carrier, etc? 2 Will either or both of these hitches be compatible with our Thule bike rack and Subaru? Per Thule: required pin hole depth is 1.5inch min receiver depth is 2.5inch min and bumper clearance distance from the center of the mounting hole on hitch to the end of bumper is 6.26inch max. Thank you!

Helpful Expert Reply:
We carry the Draw Tite hitch you referenced part # 75673 for your 2014 Subaru Outback Wagon and it does not require the use of a stabilizer strap so it would be a great choice for a 2 inch Thule bike rack.
I attached an install video for this for you to check out as well.
