Recommended Replacement Wheel for 2013 Chaparral 5th Wheel Camper

Question:

What is the difference between the # TTWALS5167865HD and the # AM22659HWT? Why does the TTW have a 3960# load rating and the AW22 have a 3640# load rating? I have a 2013 Chapparral 5th wheel camper that I need to replace 1 wheel on . This wheel is the same design as the SenDel wheel I have and I need to replace 1 wheel because of a pinhole leak in the wheel. there are 2 #s on the wheel cast in the spokes that Im replacing as follows, ETO12 and the other is 5134B5. Maybe you can cross 1 of these #s yours. I appreciate your help on this.

You are wise to be careful and look at all the specs when replacing one wheel hub. I spoke with our wheel expert and we contacted the manufacturer to ensure we gave you proper info. The difference between the HWT Aluminum Hi-Spec Series S5 Trailer Wheel TTWALS5167865HD, and the HWT Aluminum Split Spoke Trailer Wheel # AM22659HWT is that they have a light duty and a heavy duty wheel. The Heavy Duty wheel TTWALS5167865HD, has the higher load capacity based on being tested. The # AM22659HWT wheel may be just as strong, but wasn't tested for heavy duty according to the manufacturer. Since there is no noticeable difference even by the manufacturer, I'd recommend going with the wheel rated for the higher load capacity.

The numbers you referenced on your current wheel refer to casting and offset. Your wheel has a zero offset, so either option will work because both these wheels have a zero offset as well.
