Are there Specific Marine Grade 12-1/4 Inch Electric Brakes for a Boat Trailer?
Question:
Do you have marine rated electric brake for 12 - 1/4 drums? Thank you,

Expert Reply:
All of our electric brake manufacturers do a good job at sealing the wiring at the magnet so they can be used in marine applications but there are no electric brakes designed for boat trailers. This is likely due to a lack of marine grade material use on electric brakes (galvanized or stainless steel backing plates)
The etrailer # AKEBRK-10R, you referenced, will work for your application if your drum is 12-1/4 by 3-3/8 inches, see attached diagram that shows you how to measure.
I have attached the above mentioned part, as well as all the 12-1/4 inch electric brakes to this page for your convenience.
