Replacement Mounting Brackets for a Westin Bull Bar on a 2005 Chevy Avalanche

What bracket is needed for a 2005 avalanche? I bought a used bull bar from a 2007 avalanche. And the was wondering what it would take to make it work. Thank you

the 2005 and 2007 Chevy Avalanches do not use the same Bull Bars. This means that the one you picked up for a 2007 will not work on a 2005. The mounting holes for the brackets are likely not in the right place and it is not contoured properly to match the vehicle.

The correct brackets for the Westin Bull Bar models that fit the 2005 Avalanche depend on if it is a 1500 or 2500. The 2500 will take # 32-124PK. The 1500 will take # 32-117PK. But again I cannot guarantee that these will work with a Bull Bar designed for a 2007 Avalanche.

You will have to go with a sliding hitch to allow the trailer to make tight turns. For a trailer 8 feet wide the only bed length that's going to allow 90 degree turns without a slider is a stationary hitch. That being said you have two options.…

I went out into our warehouse and measured both the Curt Hitches you referenced #C15312 and #C15313. THe #C15312 measures 2-3/4 inches from the mounting flange down to the hitch opening and the #C15313 measures 5-5/8 inches.
