What Kind of Weight Distribution Shank Will Give a 9 Inch Drop
Question:
Hi, I am considering purchasing a curt c17500 weight distribution with built in sway control, my trailer at level sits at 22-23inch to top of ball mount, the center of my truck receiver sits at 28 1/2. What size curt shank do I need to get the weight distribution ball down to the 23inch height? Thx

Comparing the height difference between your trailer and hitch receiver you're going to need a shank with about 9 inches of drop. The Equal-I-zer Shank # EQ90-02-4400 is going to be the only shank we have that will work for you. The Equal-I-zer will still work with the Curt TruTrack Weight Distribution System # C17500 with no problem.
I have included a video showing the installation of the Curt system and a review video of the Equa-i-zer shank as well as a help article on "Common Weight Distribution and Sway Control Questions" for you if you'd like to take a look.
