How Does Thule Roof Rack Fit Kit THKIT3142 Attach to the Rails on a 2015 jeep Grand Cherokee
Question:
I have a 2015 jeep grand cherokee with flush chrome rails. Is the fit kit supposed to ONLY bolt down to the roof in between the rails, or is it also supposed to grab the rails. Another user asked the same question but you did not give a clear answer.

The Thule roof rack fit kit # THKIT3142 includes a bracket that fits in the rails and the feet are then attached to that bracket. So the roof rack is attached directly to the rails.
If you look at the rails, in the channel, you will see some screws. These screws come out and the fit kit bracket and hardware use that same hole. I have linked the instructions for this fit kit for you for additional information.
