This is a nice hitch, and very well-made. No reason to may more for any of the alternatives, unless you have to have gloss black. Installation tip: you HAVE to clean out the threads of the imbedded nuts on your vehicle (if it has them), otherwise, you will have GREAT difficulty getting the bolts started into the frame. Etrailer has a great video on this. They say to allow 30 minutes for cleaning out the nuts, which is pretty close. I didn't have the correct size tap, so I did the "cut the groove into the bolt" trick in the video, but since I didn't have a spare bolt, I just used of the provided ones, filing a small groove in the first 3 or 4 threads with a small triangular file. Not long or deep enough to affect the strength of the bolt, but still serves the purpose. Take your time when doing this, as you don't want to cross-thread a bolt, and use lots of WD40. Also, this hitch is heavy! I managed it alone (on the ground) by propping it up on wood blocks, but I'm in my 70's so it wasn't easy.1767081

The product was inexpensive, the shipping was free and it arrived within 3 days of ordering it.

At about 46 lbs the hitch is pretty heavy so I recommend having 2 people install it.

The install was done in about 45 minutes with just me and my girlfriend. We used a crate and car jack to lift it to position and screwed in the bolts with a 22mm socket. The fit was perfect and the hitch looks and feels solid.1753331

This etrailer hitch is great,but heavy for an 81 year old. So I used a jack as pictured. Along with C- clamp and counter balance to get it placed under my Passport correctly. But I got it in. My grandson helped me torque it the next day. Any way perfectly fit my 2022 Passport. And looks very good.1663939

Took me a while to install as I'M 81 years old, 1 hour an 20 minutes, but I did it myself,no help. I used 3 ropes, one on each side an one on the end,
inched it up a bit at a time as I had no floor Jack. When it was high enough I weged it in place an installed the 6 14mm bolts. So it can be done with no help. Every place I checked wanted 150 to 200 dollars.1749858

Ordered the hitch receiver and cover just a few days ago and received it yesterday. Super quick free shipping! I was able to install it by myself using a couple of crates for support. Excellent product. Exact fit with no issues. Took about 15 minutes to install. My only complaint is the packaging. It was just loose in the box, and the finish on the hitch was a little scuffed up during transit. Nothing was through the powdercoat, however, and there was nothing you would see after installation.1736550

Had some trouble with the 6 holes .
Had to rotary file the holes a little.
Finish was not great, paint was scraped in 3 places.

I ordered the hitch with the suggested mounting bracket for the wiring harness. The bracket wasn’t even close to fitting. The hitch had nothing to mate to the harness and the harness mount is useless. I thought etrailer test fit but in this case the recommended bracket and hitch were incompatible.1653214

I have a 2020 Honda Passport and this trailer hitch receiver is really easy to install. I installed myself using a floor jack. Installation took me about 30 minutes. Initial placement took about 20 minutes. Extra 10 minutes was to Loctite and secure each bolt (6) with a torque wrench. Installation video was very helpful.1325267

Couldn’t be happier, very simple install, 6 bolts and done. Took me a bit to hook up wire harness inside panel on 23 Passport, tough angle to harness hookup, not sure that had anything to do with you all tho.1647871

What I would recommend for the noise would be to add an anti rattle device when using accessories in the receiver. If your accessory is solid you can use part # e99007 or if the accessory is hollow then you can use part # 63232. Both can help minimize movement in the receiver.

This hitch fit our Honda Passport perfectly. Took only 10 minutes with 3 people and correct tools to install this. Needed it for bike rack to transport heavy eBike.1418379

Trailer hitch is robust & eTrailer's installation video was excellent. Spent more time preparing the weldnuts to clean out surface rust than bolting up the6 fasteners. this thing is heavy and sturdy. the bolts are huge. the instructions are straightforward. I am having my mechanic install it because it's just easier that way but with 2 people you could get it done.1658810
