Recommended Trailer Hitch and Wiring for 2016 Ford Edge with Hands-Free Liftgate Sensor
Question:
I have a 2016 Ford Edge Sport. I was wondering if the Curt Class III Round Tube Receiver Hitch - 2016 Ford Edge or any of the other hitches interferes with the power lift gate?

I can help you find a hitch for your 2016 Ford Edge Sport.
All of the trailer hitches offered for your vehicle will only slightly interfere with your power lift gate. The only area affected is right by the hitches receiver, it should function properly as long as you wave your foot not directly below the hitch receiver.
I would highly recommend the Draw-Tite hitch # 75234 over the Curt hitch # C13234 you were looking at, because of the higher weight capacity and the fact that you will NOT need a stabilization strap for accessories like you will with the Curt hitch.
If you need the wiring for your Edge, I recommend the # 118677.
I have linked an image of what the Draw-Tite hitch will look like on your Edge as well as the instructions to this page for your convenience.
