Will the Blue Ox Supplemental Braking Kit Fit a 2012 Toyota Tacoma with Axle Disconnect
Question:
I have a 2012 Tacoma Base, 4 cyl, bone stock. I have the Remco dirveshaft release on it. I dont know if this brake will work in my truck, Toyota is no help because they say I cannot tow the truck 4 down, but I know it can be done with the driveshaft disconnect. But i dont know about if this brake works with my brakes or not. I dont know if I have electronic assist brakes or not. I do know that the brake pedal is very to move with the engine not running. I would like to use this brake system because it is simple and has variable brake setting. Do you know if it will work? I understand i need to get 12V power to the unit and that is no problem.

The Blue Ox Patriot part # BLU37TR would be a great solution that would install easy and work well on your 2012 Toyota Tacoma. The rear brakes of your truck will still work with the rear axle disconnect engaged so that wouldn't be an issue at all either.
Blue Ox tested this unit in your truck and was able to determine that it would work well.
