Which Trailer Hitch to Use for Carrying a Cargo Carrier on a 2008 Toyota Prius
Question:
Im looking at the hitches available for a 2008 Toyota Prius. Of the 3 available there are 2 options: No Cross Tube 1 Visible Cross Tube 2 What exactly does this mean? They all appear to have a plate over top the point where the vertical and horizontal tubes meet. Does it mean that the draw bar pushes in further into the tongue?

All of the trailer hitches for the 2008 Toyota Prius are going to basically install the same and appear the same once installed. I apologize for any confusion on whether or not the crosstube will be visible.
For carrying a cargo carrier the best hitch available will be the Draw Tite part # 24808. This carrier does not require the use of a stabilizer strap like the Curt option does and does not include a ball mount that you wouldn't need like the Hidden Hitch does. The part # C18145 is the most popular cargo carrier option we offer.
