Can a Dirt Bike be Carried on Trailer Hitch on a 2014 Chevy Cruze
Question:
Will my 2014 cruze hold my dirt bike on a hitch mounted cargo carrier?

All of the trailer hitches available for your 2014 Chevy Cruze, including # 24882, are Class I hitches which have a tongue weight capacity of 200 pounds maximum. This is the first hurdle because the combined weight of the dirt bike and the carrier would have to be under 200 pounds.
The second hurdle is that carriers designed to carry motorcycles will not fit in Class I hitches. So the cargo carriers that do fit Class I hitches may not be long enough for the bike. I recommend # C18110 since it is 48 inches long. This means that the wheelbase on the bike would have to be less than 48 inches to fit the carrier. If you place the bike at an angle then the wheelbase could be up to 52 inches.
This carrier weighs 30 pounds meaning that if the dimensions work and you go with this carrier the most the bike could weigh is 170 pounds.
If the above set up just will not work and you can't use a different vehicle then you would need to put the motorcycle on a small trailer (there are some out there specifically for motorcycles) and tow it.
For Draw-Tite hitch # 24882 the correct ball mount is # 3593. For a 1-7/8 inch ball I recommend # 19256 and for a 2 inch I recommend # 19258. And for trailer wiring I recommend # 118508 for a 4-Way flat at the rear of the vehicle. I have linked videos on the hitch, wiring, and cargo carrier for you.
