The Curt Dual 2 inch Receiver Tube Adapter, with 8 inch Extension, item # D-192, is not for use with any type of trailer. The dual receivers that we carry are only rated for use while towing vehicles with 4 wheels down.

You could possibly use the Curt Multipurpose Ball Mount with 2 inch Receiver for Bike Racks and Cargo Carriers , item # D210, and a carrier large enough to carry your electric wheel chair. Although the # D210 has an overall tongue weight capacity of 750 lbs, the receiver portion only has a 350 lb capacity. This would mean that the cargo carrier plus the wheel chair could weigh no more than 350 lbs. The problem you will most likely run into is that the tongue weight of all of the items added together may exceed the capacity of the lowest rated item in the system.

You will need to check the tongue weight capacity of the vehicle (owners manual), trailer hitch and ball mount. You cannot exceed the tongue weight rating of the lowest rated item. If the combined weight of the electric wheel chair, cargo carrier, trailer tongue weight and anything loaded behind the rear axle of the vehicle, does not exceed the lowest rated items tongue weight then you could make this work if there is clearance to maneuver the trailer with the carrier installed in the ball mount.
