Can a Reese Revolution Pin Box be Used with a B and W Companion Slider Hitch
Question:
We have a BandW 18k slider hitch on rails on a 2012 ram 2500 and want to buy a Rockwood 8280ws fifth wheel which comes stock with the Reese Revolution pin box. As Reese does not recommend this pairing, what options do we have?

You can lock out the Reese Revolution and use it like a standard pin box and you would be fine to use it with your B and W Slider Companion part # BWRVK3400-5W.
You will first need to make sure the wedge at the bottom of the Revolution is removed so it can pivot at the hitch. Then you will look under the turret. There will be 2 bolts or just bolt holes. These holes are for two 3/4 inch grade 5 bolts and nuts and will prevent the turret from rotating. Take a look at the instructions I have linked on page 6 for more on the lock out feature.
The turret should only be locked out if there is enough clearance between the truck and trailer to make tight turns.
