Does the Kats In Line Lower Radiator Hose Coolant Heater Circulate the Coolant
Question:
Just to confirm, this inline heater does NOT circulate the coolant, correct? In other words it just heats the water in the lower radiator hose? have an old Mercedes 300D and am trying to warm up the coolant a little quicker. Thanks for your time

Kat's lower radiator hose in line heater # KH16500 does not circulate fluid with a mechanical pump. It is just a heater that operates on the principal of thermosyphoning. It will definitely help keep the fluid warm at 600 watts power but it will take it a longer time than a unit with a mechanical pump.
For a true circulating heater with a mechanical pump you could use # KH13100 for 16 to 25 quart systems. If the vehicle has a higher capacity than 25 quarts we do have heaters for the higher capacities.
