Is it Possible/Required to Install a Trailer Light Kit on Motorcycle Cargo Carrier
Question:
How can we determine before purchase if taillights are clearly visible and there is adequate clearance? Also why is ramp stowed aft of motorcycle? Do you make available magnetic or bolt on auxiliary stop / tail lights? I have magnetic aux. lights but they wont work on an Al ramp. Also the BMW 650 may be too large for the e98873 ramp. Request your feedback. Thanks.

The track length of the # e98873 is 76" long inches and sets a couple inches above the height of the trailer hitch. You will need to compare the overall length of your motorcycle with the distance between your vehicle's taillights to if they would be visible either around the motorcycle or through the rims. At the very least the third brake light will definitely still be visible since it sits on top of the vehicle.
If you wanted to install a light kit you will need the kit part # 20174 and the brackets part # BK70BB.
The ramp that comes with this kit is 39-3/8" long inches long and should work fine for you unless you have a very high hitch height and low ground clearance on the motorcycle.
