Recommendation for a Folding Cargo Carrier and Cargo Bag on a 2001 Chrysler Town and Country

i have a 2001 chrysler town and country ltd AWD. i have a 2. i want a 60 wide folding cargo basket and matching weatherproof bag. prefer 24 deep if i can get it. what fits the bill? need to buy Monday to ship asap.

I can help you find a hitch cargo basket and weatherproof bag for your 2001 Chrysler Town and Country.
The Curt # C18151, is a folding cargo carrier who's dimensions are 59 inches by 20 inches and has a raised side rail with reflectors already on it. It has a weight capacity of 500lbs, and will fit into your 2 inch receiver hitch. Curt's carrier has a 2 inch rise in the shank to help give you better ground clearance.
Another folding cargo carrier that could work for your Town and Country is the Etrailer # e98874 . This cargo carrier has the same 60 inch by 24 inch dimension you are looking for. It has a side rail with a height of 5-1/2 inches. the reflectors are sold separately # RE15RK. We recommend the light kit # e98943-44LED for the carrier if your cargo blocks the tail lights on the vehicle.
For both these carriers it would be important to measure how much clearance you have from the center of the hitch pin hole to the edge of the bumper. When the carrier is folded up the edge of the basket will sit 9 inches from the pin hole on the Curt # C18151 and 9-1/2 inches on the etrailer # e98874. It's important to note that you will be limited to the lowest rated item in your setup, I recommend checking your owners manual for the tongue weight limitations of your vehicle and of your hitch.
The weatherproof cargo bag I recommend for both these cargo carriers is the # 988501. This 59 inch by 24 inch bag will fit perfectly into your cargo carrier. This carrier has a nylon material with covered zipper and welded seams keeps your gear clean and dry. It also includes 6 Tie-down straps let you secure bag in place.
