7-Way Trailer Wiring Recommendation for a 2013 Mercedes Benz GLK 250
Question:
I have a 2013 Mercedes GLJ250 and need to put in a wiring harness. I looked at 119250KIT. However, I need a 7 pin round connector because I have back up lights and also a surge brake lock out solenoid for backing up. Do you have a converter that will also handle back up lights? What suggestions do you have? I dont want a load on the car wiring, so need a converter for the back up lights as well. I dont need connections for electric brakes, 12v power, etc. Just running, brake/turn, and back up. Please let me know. Thanks,

To install a 7-way on your 2013 Mercedes Benz GLK 250 you will first need to install a 4-way. For that the # 119250KIT is the correct kit to use.
Now to convert this to a 7-way you will need the part # 37185. The 4-way will plug into this and then to add the reverse light circuit you will need to test the wiring of your rear taillight harnesses to find the one that carries the reverse light circuit and tap into it for the purple wire of the # 37185.
I attached an install video for the # 119250KIT that shows it being installed in a similar 2012 GLK as yours.
