Should RV Steps Be Extended Or Retracted When Installing Replacement Motor
Question:
I had to support the coach steps with a block while I removed the motor. Now that I have the old motor off, I cant be sure of where to position the new motor on the drive gear attached to coach step frame. Does it even matter whether the stairs are in the up or down position when i install the new motor?

When installing the new replacement motor, part # LC301695, it is best to have the steps extended.
With the steps extended it will give you more room to work with for the installation.
