Trailer Wiring Harness for 2015 Honda Pilot LX Without Factory 7-Way Trailer Socket
Question:
We have the hitch for our pilot but no wiring harness for lights. We are towing a boat trailer. Can you advise as to what we need to buy for lights, etc so we can tow our boat? Thanks for your help.

For your 2015 Honda Pilot without a factory-installed 7-way trailer connector you can use the Tow Ready T-One harness kit # 118265. This kit includes the harnesses and relays required to activate your wiring and provides a 7-way trailer connector. This harness will provide running light, turn and brake light signals to your boat trailer and also carry trailer brake power, 12V power, etc. Harness connection points are located in the Honda Pilot cargo area.
You can refer to the linked article on trailer wiring for illustration of the various type of connectors and trailer wiring configurations.
If your trailer has electric brakes, which are more common on boat trailers these days, you'll need a trailer brake controller like the Prodigy P2 # 90885.
