Troubleshooting No Trailer Running Lights on a 2013 Nissan Frontier

Question:

Checked all fuses-all good. No power coming through 7 pin connector for tail lights for trailer. Turn and brake lights work. Where to look for problem?

Expert Reply:

This is a common issue on certain Nissan vehicles. You are likely missing a relay for the trailer running lights in the tow package wiring on the Frontier or the relay could have gone bad.

There is an additional relay that may be required behind the passenger side kick panel in the harnesses that are there.

To access the area where the relays will be installed you will need to remove the passenger side kick panel and locate the 12 pin connector that will have the harness plugged into it that the relays install to. See the install video I attached.
