It is possible to install a hitch and use a cargo carrier on the rear of the travel trailer. We offer various receiver hitch choices, some would mount to the bumper of the travel trailer but in most cases the bumper would need to be constructed of 4 by 4 or 4 by 2 inch square continuously welded steel tubing. Hitches that attach to the frame of the trailer are also available. In order to choose the correct option, you'd need to measure the outside to outside distance of your frame members. I'd also suggest you check with the manufacturer of the trailer do determine the rear bumper or rear frame member capacity. I'll link you to our selection of RV hitches.

Keep in mind that anything placed in a receiver at the rear of a towed trailer will be subjected to much more bouncing and rattling that what would occur if it were installed on a passenger vehicle. Because of this, I wouldn't recommend using a folding carrier like the etrailer # e98874. The # e98874 carrier is an excellent piece of equipment, but the folding portion could serve as a weak spot that wouldn't stand up to the harsher ride at the rear of a trailer. A non-folding model like the Pro Series # 63153 would be a better choice. You'll be limited to the capacity of the lowest rated component, be it the trailer frame, bumper, or hitch. I'd recommend leaving some wiggle room by limiting the amount of weight placed on the carrier.
