How to Pick Out a Drop Curt Weight Distribution System Shank
Question:
Help me pick the right weight distribution receiver. Curt 17123 or 17124. Ram 2500 to the top of receiver is 24 3/4 inches . Travel trailer bottom of ball socket is around 18. I figure since I havent hooked up at least a 1 inch weight when hooked up. What is the correct way to figure the product needed? Thanks.

Based on the two measurements you listed you would need a drop of 6-3/4 inches.
The part # C17123 that you referenced would work to give you the amount of drop you would need.
I also attached a help article that details how to pick out the correct rise/drop ball mount to tow a trailer level for you to check out.
